Produce Guide

Why eat seasonally and locally? Believe it or not, in-season produce is more nutritious and tastier than produce eaten out of season. This is because the fruit or vegetable is grown in its natural environment and conditions. It's also more likely to be vine-ripened which helps it to obtain the greatest amount of nutrients and flavor.

Also, eating in season is a likely way to assure cleaner produce and the produce does not have to travel as long a distance. This is a definite environmental benefit. So next time you can't decide what to cook, consider choosing fruits or vegies from the October seasonal produce list!
